Sodium Cyanide Containers – 6 nos. – Fabrication and Supply

Project Highlights:

Project Description:

Wesfarmers CSBP and Australian Gold Reagents (AGR) operate a large fleet of rail and truck transported Sodium Cyanide Containers for the gold resource industry.

The existing fleet has seen significant use and was due for repair and maintenance. CSBP engaged Access Petrotec to manufacture and supply 6 Sodium Cyanide Isotainers to replace part of the fleet. Significant cost savings were achieved through transfer from leasing transport vessels to ownership by CSBP.

All vessels have now been delivered to CSBP in Kwinana. Additionally, Corrocoat VEF internal coating has been applied to enhance the life of these containers

Project Deliverables:

1 Fabrication and Supply of Equipment

Access Petrotec was responsible for manufacture and supply of the ISO containers under a strict testing regime incorporating 100% radiography testing, liquid penetrant testing, ultrasonic testing and magnetic particle inspection.

In addition to testing requirements the vessels were manufactured in accordance with AS1210 and were designed with corner castings to endure high fatigue stress during rail transport as per AS1554.5 which was identified as a critical area by CSBP.

All vessels underwent post-weld heat treatment and were under strict inspection and supervision throughout the project by Access Petrotec and third-party inspection agency Bureau Veritas.

2 Documentation

Manufacturing Data Records (MDR) for 6 off vessels is being prepared in compliance with AS1210 and AS3990 for registration with Department of Mines & Petroleum (DMP) and obtaining a license to operate from ADG inspectors
