Project Description:
CSBP, Kwinana discovered in January 2013 that Ammonia Evaporator has deteriorated beyond repairs and required to be replaced in the shutdown planned in Late July, 2013. Ammonia Evaporator is a complex Heat Exchanger with 760 tubes, requiring precise fabrication work and specialised welding skills. CSBP’s specs called for 100% radiography
Originally this replacement was not envisaged and had therefore had an impact on overall budget and schedule. Access Petrotec was given the target price of $200,000 and were asked to complete fabrication in 3 months maximum.
Access Petrotec was awarded the contract on 24 Feb 2013 and the consignment was delivered to the shipping agency on 27 May 2013, well ahead of time for the shutdown.
