Project Description:

Kuwait Integrated Petroleum Industries Company (KIPIC) is developing a new multibillion grass root refinery in the Al-Zour area, 90km south of Kuwait City. Known as the Al-Zour Refinery project (ZOR), it will primarily supply 225,000 barrels a day of low-sulphur fuel oil (LSFO) to local power plants. It will also produce jet fuel, kerosene and naphtha feedstock for petrochemical plants.

KIPIC required several Bubble Columns, Sulphur Pit Steam Coils, Antifoam Pots and Sulphur Locks & Funnels for the projects three Sulphur Recovery Units. Access Petrotec was engaged by EPC Contractor FDH to fabricate and deliver the equipment requirements.

Project Deliverables:

1 Detailed Engineering Design

Access Petrotec carried out detailed engineering design in compliance with ASME Sec VII Div 1. And, FDH JV and Shell DEP standards

2 Fabrication and Supply of Equipment

Access Petrotec supplied 101 tons of primarily carbon steel equipment comprising a total of 54 different tag numbers. Manufacturing was carried out in our facilities in Baroda, India with third party inspection from both Access Petrotec and FDH JV attending various stages of the manufacturing schedule.

3 Documentation

Manufacturing Data Records (MDR) and Quality Dossiers for all 54 tags were prepared in compliance with ASME Sec VIII Div 1. And also Shell DEP-31.22.10.41 and FDH JV Standards.
