Project Description:
BHP Nickel West Underground is developing the B11 mining area. To reduce the impact during the development and production activities, dewatering of the B11 area is required due to the increase in the volume of water that will be generated.
Project Deliverables:
1 Detailed Engineering Design
- Performed Power system studies including calculations for Load Flow, Short Circuit and Harmonic Analysis using DigSilent software in compliance to BHP specifications.
- Developed Single Line Diagram, MCC Schematics, Termination drawings, substation layout drawings, small power distribution drawings.
- Developed Loop Drawings for all instruments, PLC panel drawings and Marshalling panel termination drawings.
- Developed I/O List, Electrical Load List, Electrical Equipment List and Instrument List
- Developed Control System Functional Description / Control Philosophy
- Engineering calculations for Motors, Instruments, PLC cabinet, Switchgear, cables, battery chargers and other components in accordance with AS/NZ standards and BHP specifications.
