M6 Motorway Stage 1 MOC1 Water Treatment Plant Engineering, Fabrication, Installation

Project Description:

Access Petrotec Pty Ltd was subcontracted by Gradiant to execute the installation of the M6 Motorway Stage 1 MOC1 Water Treatment Plant in Sydney. This project encompasses mechanical, piping, electrical, and instrumentation installations for tanks, vessels, pump skids, and various other systems critical to water treatment operations. The primary goal was to ensure a seamless integration of all components to meet performance and operational standards. This project is part of the broader M6 Motorway Tunnel extension project, with completion targeted for mid-2025​.

Project Deliverables:

• Developed piping layouts and pipe support designs, ensuring compliance and operational efficiency.
• Completed 3D modelling to identify design clashes and optimize space.
• Installation and integration of all major equipment, including tanks, vessels, and pump skids.
• Fabrication and installation of interconnecting piping and pipe supports according to Australian Standards such as AS4100, AS/NSZ 1554, AS/NZS 1170, AS/NZS 4680 and other appropriate Australian Standards​.
• Electrical works, including MCC panels, motor cable laying, and installation of sensors and control units​.
• Detailed project management, site mobilization, and testing and commissioning activities​.
• Documentation including Quality Management Plans, Inspection Test Plans (ITP), and commissioning procedures.​
